Tensar Snow Fence is made of high density polyethylene that is oriented and stabilized to provide long life when exposed to the suns ultra violet rays. Tensar is inert to most know acids and alkalis and impermeable to moisture. It has a tensile strength of 8,100lbs per roll width, the strength of steel. The apertures in Tensar Snow Fence are elliptical, and have been designed for optimal porosity (50%) and control. These openings decelerate the wind as it carries snow particles through the fence and then drops them in calculable drifts. In most brands of plastic fence, the junctions or nodes are the weakest point, causing sagging, tensioning and breaking. Tensar Snow Fences are oriented by a special process, rendering them the strongest on the market.
